Why do some of the trips have TBA or general dates?
 
We are in the process of setting specific dates, team leaders, etc on all of our trips. If you will check back at pursuemissions.org we will keep our list of trips up to date. As soon as dates are specifically set or leaders in place we will change the information here.


When is my application due?

Applications are due November 8, 2015.  All applications require a $50 non-refundable deposit in order for them to be officially processed by the Pursue Missions Office.
 
When is the money for the trip due?

After being accepted onto one of our teams you will receive a payment plan that clearly states when money must be turned in. A $50 non-refundable deposit is due with your application.


What does the cost cover?

Trip costs cover transportation, lodging, food, and outreach expenses unless otherwise noted by your team leader. Trip costs do NOT cover food while travelling in airports, souvenirs, tips, and optional excursions.


What are the age restrictions for the trips?

In general, trips are open to individuals 18 years and older.
Children 12 years and older are allowed to travel if a parent accompanies them on the following trips: Norway, Guatemala, Family Trip, England, Czech Republic, and Nicaragua.

Please make note that this year we are offering a family trip to Arlington that is open to families with children ages 3 and older!!

We also have a trip specifically for high school students to the New Life Children's Home in Guatemala. Parents do not have to accompany minors on this trip as it will be chaperoned by youth leaders.

Children under the age of 18 will NOT be allowed on the following trips: LA Dream Center and India.


Must I have a passport in order to apply?

You do not have to have a passport in hand to apply for a trip. We will give you all the information needed for you to apply for your passport. Please note that the cost of the trip does NOT include additional fees incurred when obtaining a passport.


Can I go on a mission trip if I live outside of Lubbock, TX?

Absolutely! We have several people outside of Lubbock that travel on Pursue Short-Term Trips every year. If you live outside of Lubbock, please note the following:

•Trip Prices are based on travel from Lubbock. You will be expected to come to Lubbock on your own expense and travel from Lubbock with the team.

•You must attend our “Big Team Training” weekend. It is scheduled for April 1 & 2, 2016.


Can I use my airline miles or book my own travel?

No. Because we work on getting group rates and pay as a group, all travel details must go through our office. You are welcome to get airline miles for these trips but you cannot redeem your miles for these trips.​
